Dear Mister Condo,
Our Board would like to replace our current website. Our needs are:
Both a public side and a password protected Board/Homeowner side.
The secured side to store financial and sensitive documents.
Currently we haven’t a need for accounting or billing features, mostly document management.
Mister Condo replies:
A.L., with a plethora of condo and HOA website software available to associations today, you have many options available to you. It really boils down to which solution suits you best. Almost all of the software packages I am familiar with are quite robust but may offer you more than you need and may cost more than you are willing to spend. Do you have a budget in mind? Another key question to ask is who will maintain the website for you? If it is an association volunteer, be sure to have a back-up plan in place in case that person leaves your community. If you are looking for free solutions, something as simple as Google drive might do the trick. If you have a management company you should ask what they offer. Even your banking partner may offer you a basic website that will do what you wish. You can even look to the Community Associations Institute for assistance. Go to https://directory.caionline.org and search for website providers. Several offer low cost alternatives that should do the trick for you. Good luck!
Mr. Condo’s advice is sound. We have had good luck with HOASPACE.com. Good security, great features, easy to setup and maintain, all at a very reasonable price.
