Dear Mister Condo,
My condo is on a lot with a high water table so the sump pump runs often. The neighbors have adjusted the floats on their pump so it rarely runs which causes mine to run constantly. I’ve spoken to them. What else can I do?
Mister Condo replies:
P.F., sump pumps all need to run efficiently to protect all members of the association. What your neighbors have done her is not neighborly at all. You have already tried the simple and polite solution and they have refused to keep the activating floats in place where all units would run evenly. It’s time to involve the Board and get some type of rule passed that will regulate the sump pump settings. Other than that, there isn’t too much you can do. Not all of us have neighborly neighbors. It says more about them then it does you, my friend. All the best!
