Dear Mister Condo,
I own a deeded parking space in a high-rise building. The management company put a double metal door in one of the walls that open on my parking. What are my rights at this time?
Mister Condo replies:
I.M., I am sorry that this door was placed in such a way as it intrudes into your parking space. I am not an attorney and offer no legal advice in this column. I don’t believe you have any rights in this matter as they haven’t taken your parking space away. It would really depend on how much into your space this door intrudes when opened. Of course, if the door cannot be opened without damaging your vehicle, that may be another story. If that is the case, you should certainly contact an attorney to see what legal recourse you have. Good luck!
